Tensile strength results
After conducting the experimental procedures the following results were observed:
-
The product with the highest 28 day tensile strength was the CM3 with 2.5 MPa.
-
The product with the lowest 28 day tensile strength was the PM with 1.8 MPa.
-
It was noted that there was a 40% difference in tensile strength between the strongest and weakest product.
-
CM2 had the highest strength gain, achieving 70% of its 28 day strength after 1 day.
-
Factors affecting results include; ammount of water added, product composition and method of loading.
