Elastic modlus
The test was performed on cylindrical specimens, with Ø 80 mm and a height of 150 mm. The elastic modulus was determined in compression and calculated from plotting stress-strain curves.
The specimen was loaded at two stress intervals. The stress intervals were 20% and 40% of the maximum cube strength tested. The stress strain curves were obtained from readings of the specimen taken in the Amsler compression machine and a demountable mechanical (Demec) strain gauge.
A total of three specimens for each product were tested andthe average value obtained was recorded as the Elastic modulus value. The Elastic modulus was tested after 14 and 28 days.
